Ingredients for Pea Paratha
- Peas
- Green chilies
- Coriander leaves
- Ground coriander
- Ground red chili
- Mango powder
- Cumin seeds
- Asafoetida
- Salt
- Flour
- Refined oil
Step-by-Step Recipe for Pea Paratha
Step 1: Preparing the Peas
- Begin by peeling the green peas.
- Add some salt and boil them in a pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles.
- Once done, turn off the heat, release the pressure, and drain the peas using a sieve to remove all the water.
Step 2: Making the Pea Mixture
- Once the peas cool down, lightly mash them.
- Heat some oil in a pan.
- Add half a teaspoon of cumin seeds and one chopped chili to the hot oil.
- Add the mashed peas to the pan.
Step 3: Spicing It Up
- Add one and a half teaspoons of ground coriander, a pinch of ground red chili, finely chopped green chili, less than half a teaspoon of mango powder, finely chopped coriander leaves, a pinch of asafoetida, and salt to taste.
